Yuppie™ is a Midwest-born indie band with veteran roots and a sound that’s equal parts grit, heart, and hooky melodies.

Founded by former Marine Zack Silver, the band turns real-life scars and small-town stories into songs you can cry to, dance to, and scream-sing in your car.

With over a decade of live shows and collaborations with legends like Ed Brooks (R.E.M., Pearl Jam, Death Cab for Cutie), Yuppie™ is proof you don’t have to move to a “music city” to make music that matters.

Meet the Band

Zack

Zack grew up wanting to be a drummer but the Marine Corps and a guitar turned him into a songwriter. He’s released albums and EPs and signed with Operation Encore, a nonprofit helping veterans in music. Yuppie™ has been his passion for over a decade. Off stage, he’s with family, gaming, or snacking at the movies.

Casey

Casey picked up guitar at eleven and never put it down. After decades of playing across the Midwest, he landed in Yuppie™ in 2023. His raw guitar tone blended seamlessly with Zack’s songs. The connection was instant and now he’s part of the chaos.

Colin

Colin has been drumming since age twelve. He played in marching band, jazz groups, and rock gigs, mixing precision with energy. He joined Yuppie™ in 2023 and brought thunder and groove to the sound.

Andy

Andy Rush is a guitarist and singer with jazz and soul influences. He and Zack began playing together in 2013 and he has been a recurring Yuppie™ member ever since. His smooth guitar work and vocals bring intimacy and atmosphere to the music.

Tim

Tim is a lifelong Dayton musician who joined Yuppie™ in 2024. He has played with local groups for years and now adds riffs and rhythm to the band. Off stage, he is with family and his two dogs Gus and Luna.
